PlayStation Direct kicks off the new week with fresh PS5s. July brought many consoles to customers, but also 25.07. supplies again. How to get the console – invited and uninvited?

Update from 07/26/2022, 12:25 p.m: The past few days have been particularly productive for PlayStation Direct. The first sales campaign took place here on Friday and the retailer followed up directly on Monday. The PS5 was also sold to people without an invitation on both occasions. The drops were always quite long and thousands of consoles were sold. So it’s worth taking a look at the retailer in the coming days and registering for drops beforehand:

Update from 07/25/2022, 8:40 a.m.: Sony has sent emails to its registered customers announcing a drop this Monday at 10:30am on PlayStation Direct. If you missed the immense drops of the last week, you probably have the best chance of getting a PS5 here. It is speculated that after the replenishment for registered customers, the open sale for everyone should start around noon (this was often the case in the past).

Update from 07/24/2022, 4:40 p.m.: If you are registered with PlayStation Direct to sell the PS5, you should check your email inbox for an invitation. Sony has indirectly confirmed a drop of the PS5 for tomorrow Monday and sent the first invitations to lucky buyers* with which they can get hold of one of the consoles in the sale. So keep a close eye on your e-mails and Sony’s sales platform, you could be delighted with replenishment tomorrow.

Update from 07/22/2022, 12:05 p.m.: PS Direct has now dropped. You can just add the PS5 disc version to your cart with no prior invitation or other barriers (you may have to sit in line to get comfortable). Follow this link to the official Sony shop. You can choose between 4 versions and bundles:

Update from 07/22/2022, 09:35 am: PlayStation Direct is stocking up today. Sony’s in-house factory outlet offers the console for all invited people between 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. So check your emails again to see if you may have received an invitation.

So far there is no information as to whether there will also be a campaign for all interested parties after the closed sale. Such open sales, i.e. without an invitation, have always taken place at PlayStation Direct directly after the closed sale. So it could well be that today is the day again. You should keep an eye on the retailer from around 11:00 a.m., as the closed drop often ends earlier than 12:00 p.m.

Update from 07/21/2022, 3:50 p.m.: PlayStation Direct Drop Alert! The dealer has again sent out invitations to numerous fans and will be offering the PS5 again tomorrow. The sale will take place between 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. and will be invitation-only. After that, an open sale could possibly start again. So check out whether you have received an invitation by email and be at the start tomorrow.

Update from 07/21/2022, 10:20 a.m.: Sony’s own factory outlet currently has the highest PS5 chances. After various retailers sold the console yesterday (and some still do locally), PlayStation Direct is really hot. Because in July there was no drop yet, but traditionally the PS5 can be gotten here at least once a month – July 2022 will soon be over, so be careful here.

Update from 07/17/2022, 09:42 am: At PlayStation Direct, the July drop is still a long time coming. But it is actually considered certain that there will still be supplies this month. Because at PS Direct there hasn’t been a single month since the start of the service without a drop. At least one sale always took place there. So you should definitely watch out for Sony’s in-house factory outlet in July – also in the coming new week.

Update from 07/14/2022, 09:12: Even if some had expected it yesterday – unfortunately Sony has not yet sent out any fresh invitations for the next campaign. However, you should still be careful with PS Direct. There was still no drop in July, but it is basically certain that supplies will come this month. Because PlaySation Direct has so far held at least one sale every month without exception. So keep your eyes open!

Update from 07/13/2022, 1:21 p.m: Some PS5 hunters have noticed that the “Out of Stock” notice has now disappeared from PlayStation Direct. That doesn’t necessarily mean something, but it has happened a few times in the past shortly before an upcoming sale.

So be sure to check your inbox and spam folder later this afternoon if you’re already registered with PS Direct. The invitations are usually sent out there shortly after 3:00 p.m. Perhaps the next sale there is really imminent.
