Octopath Traveler: Champions Of The Continent: Prequel revealed in the launch trailer

The prequel to the role-playing game Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent will also be released in Germany for iOS and Android on July 27th. The mobile offshoot was released in Japan two years ago.

Like most mobile games, Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent is based on a free-to-play model. So-called “Ruby Sets” can be purchased as in-app purchases.

The prequel starts a few years before Octopath Traveler, which was initially released exclusively for the switch in 2018 (to test). Orsterra is ruled by tyrants who thirst for wealth and fame, plunging the world into darkness.
Eight heroes oppose this in the mobile offshoot, who as “Chosen ones of a divine ring” try to bring light back into the darkness. Build your own team from over 64 characters to face the turn-based battles.

Composer Yasunori Nishiki once again created the soundtrack for “Champions of the Continent”. Since the game was released in Japan in October 2020, there have now also been some collaborations with other games. The following Japanese trailer shows impressions of the appearance of characters from Nier Automata.
