Pokémon GO: The 20 best attackers for the Hisui Cup

Pokémon GO Hisui Sniebel Snieboss

The Hisui Cup has started in Pokémon GO. In the new PvP tournament you can only use a limited selection of Pokémon. We show you the top attackers in the Hisui Cup.

When is the Hisui Cup? Matching the current Hisui event, the Hisui Cup runs between July 27th and August 3rd. So you can currently select it if you are looking for new matches in PvP.

What is special about the cup? There are certain restrictions on Pokémon selection.

  • Pokémon can have a maximum of 1,500 CP.
  • Only Pokémon from the Hisui region and monsters with Pokédex numbers between #387 and #493 are eligible. These are the Pokémon from the Sinnoh region – the region that “Hisui” would later become.

Accordingly, only a limited number of monsters are available for your teams. Here we take a closer look at which are the best for the Hisui Cup.

What are the best Pokemon in the Hisui Cup?

The best monsters in the ranking: If you want to compete in the Hisui Cup, you’ll have to do without some of the “usual suspects”. Instead, there are many other monsters that can come into play here.

For an overview, we show you some of the favorites in the ranking. Using the page “PvPoke‘ PvP rankings for Pokémon GO can be created based on simulations of various monsters in battle.

If you include the entire Hisui pool including Crypto and XL monsters, the following ranking results.

What is the best team for the Hisui Cup?

Is there a best team? A “best” team cannot be determined across the board, as it always depends on what monsters your opponent is using. If he has just the right type distribution among his Pokémon to undermine your team, you hardly have a chance.

It is therefore worth building a team with the widest possible type distribution and covering many options. Also, certain monsters perform best in different roles. Some are more suitable as an opening for drawing shields, others are more suitable for ending the match.

That’s why we’re introducing you to good monsters for different roles based on PvPoke:

The 5 best monsters for the opening – strong against shields:

Pokémon GO Hisui Sniebel Snieboss
The new Sniebel development is a strong option
  • Snieboss
  • Pachirisu
  • Rexblisar
  • Lucario
  • Luxtra (Crypto)

The 5 best monsters to change:

Pokémon GO Piondragi
Piondragi is among the top monsters in the cup
  • Piondragi
  • Hisui-Baldorfish
  • Myriador
  • Lucario
  • electric

Top 5 monsters for completion – no shields on both:

electric
A top attacker, also in the Hisui Cup
  • electric
  • Hisui Electrobal
  • slurp
  • Burmadam (rag coat)
  • Cresselia

5 best unshielded monsters when opponent still has shields:

Bolterus
Bolterus can withstand a lot
  • Bolterus
  • Pachirisu
  • Gastrodon
  • Rexblisar
  • Cresselia

You should also consider this: If you’re looking for strong options in your monster collection, keep in mind the 1,500 CP limit. Don’t overpower your Pokemon. But they shouldn’t be too far below the WP limit either. Even a Lucario is knocked out quickly if it only has 300 WP.

Besides the PvP league, you can look for various Hisui monsters in the wild right now. With Baldorfish and Sniebel, however, you should be prepared for a little more work if you want to develop the Hisui monsters.
