Have you long since had a super farm in Stardew Valley, numerous romances and divorces behind you and maybe by now fed up with golden nuts? Then you might be interested in this cute switch alternative to the popular simulation: In Wylde Flowers you also build a farm. But while in Stardew Valley the witch only flies over your head and curses buildings, in this game you can swing yourself on a broomstick.

Wylde Flowers – The magical farm sim has a release date for Switch and Steam

Farm work and witch training

It’s all about this: From September 20th you can take care of animals, plant vegetables, fish, but also create magic spells and potions in Wylde Flowers on the switch and the PC. After all, protagonist Tara is a real witch.

You take over the family farm: As you probably know from other farm sims, in Wylde Flowers you move into a sleepy but cozy town to bring the family farm into shape. The village is on an island and is called Fairhaven.

Magic Elements: While you jump into bed at night in similar games, Tara still has witch business to do in the dark. You learn to fly on a broomstick and brew potions that let you control the weather and seasons – sounds pretty handy. But the best is yet to come: You can also turn into a cat.

Various romances: You’ve probably asked yourselves whether sparks are flying in Fairhaven, because what would a farm sim be without romance options – and the answer is: Yes, of course there are! The team behind Wylde Flowers promises an “inclusive, diverse and queer cast of characters”. Not all love interests are known yet, but among them is at least one character with non-binary pronouns (xier/xiem).

Also interesting: The soundtrack is designed to respond to your choices as you play. In addition, the dialogues are completely set to music, but only in English. Your stay in the country should last 35 to 60 hours. Like other farming sims, you can probably work at your own pace.

Will you keep an eye on Wylde Flowers?
