WoW: DpS and healers are overrated! 5 tanks create +25 Tazavesh InTime!
Towards the end of a season in WoW, raids and dungeons hardly play a role in your own equipment and you have seen all the content several times. To avoid boredom, many players look for other activities. Sometimes these are different games, sometimes special challenges within WoW. Like a group of five tanks who, despite their roles, decided to play Mythic Plus dungeons together and found more success than they initially thought.
And so the keystones they played together got higher and higher. It all culminated in them completing Tazavesh: Wondrous Roads at level 25 within the time limit and still having time left.
Mythic Plus Tazavesh +25 InTime
Surprisingly, the problems that arose were neither the survival of the tanks nor the necessary DpS – although the latter of course eventually limits the height of the keystone. It was the mechanics of the bosses. Usually, tanks are exempt from some mechanics because they would make the fights enormously difficult. For example, imagine Xav the Undefeated in the Theater of Pain throwing the tank into the PvP Trial?
However, if there are only tanks in the group, these limitations no longer apply. And then it can happen that the active tank has to deal with some mechanics that it is actually unsuitable for.

There are four other tanks that can mock, but this only works suboptimal. Because the others are concentrating on optimizing their damage or helping with small healing at the time.
The biggest sticking point was that none of the classes can remove magic, which is traditionally the job of the healer. This made some dungeons or common routes impossible.
Interestingly, the group did not rely on a blood death knight, which is usually the first choice for such actions without a healer. Instead, we saw four other tank classes.
- A Guardian Druid – for incarnation and for removing debuffs and rage effects
- A protection warrior – for high single target damage and good execute
- A protection paladin – for small heals and good utility (like blessing of protection)
- Two vengeful demon hunters – for the useful seals, control effects and high damage
In a way, the demon hunters replace the damage dealers. Because they lose almost no DpS due to the class design if they are not actively tanking.
By the way, in Season 4 the five tanks want to continue their small project and even strive for something higher. They want to win the title of the 0.1 percent of the best dungeon players in their pure tank constellation. To do this, they exchange one of the demon hunters for another warrior, as there are many pure single-target bosses waiting in Season 4. We’re excited to see if they’re successful. Do you like such actions or does something like this only show the inadequate balancing within WoW in your eyes (buy now )?
