Apex Legends: Season 14 grants fans a long-held wish

Later this month, Respawn Entertainment is fulfilling a long-cherished wish of Apex Legends fans and raising the level cap.

The only increase in the level cap to date was in December 2019, i.e. in the launch year.

The wait pays off

So the long wait for another increase will soon be over. At the start of Season 14 on August 9th, 2022 you can look forward to the increased level cap.

“When we launched Apex, we had a max account level of 100, which gave you about 30 Apex Packs by the time you reached the max level,” explains Design Director Aaron Rutledge (via VGC). “In the first year we increased the level to 500, which allowed players to earn around 200 Apex Packs.”

More Apex Legends news:

“In Season 14, it’s time to raise that cap even further and expand the possibilities for our most dedicated players. We will be expanding the cap by progressing through levels 1 through 500 three more times, raising the cap to 2,000. ”

“This adds 345 additional Apex Packs to what can be earned through account progression, bringing the total number of Apex Packs earnable through play to 544.”

“And if you’re familiar with our heirloom system, you know that once you hit 500, you get an heirloom,” he adds. “I think a lot of players will be happy to finally be rewarded for the time they put in and get this heirloom.”
