WoW: Blizzard is planning a new format on Twitch with the WoW Variety Show
The WoW Esports team is testing a new format on Twitch. Instead of dungeons or arenas, the WoW Variety Show features clearly relaxed challenges: speed levels, races on the mount and treasure hunts are to take place on the live servers. The event starts on August 24, 2022.
On August 24, 2022, the Warcraft Twitch Channel a brand new event titled WoW Variety Show. Teams with well-known WoW influencers and participants from the community compete against each other in three different categories. A speed level contest, a treasure hunt and a race through Azeroth are planned.
In the leveling contest, four WoW influencers have one hour on the WoW live servers to level up a character as many levels as possible. The Scavanger Hunt is all about finding treasure, solving puzzles and uncovering lore secrets. In the final activity, participants swing onto their ground mount and have to walk across Azeroth.
Registration only for players from North America for the time being
The community can use the WoW (buy now ) Follow Variety Show on Twitch, but applications are currently only open to players from North America. All rules for the event have been explicitly listed again. It is not yet clear who the four WoW influencers will be, each leading a team.
Registration to attend the WoW Variety Show will open for NA players on August 15, 2022, and team captains will be announced over the next few weeks on the WoW Esports Twitter channel presented. According to the FAQ, there are some WoW goodies to be won such as mounts, pets, playing time, etc. Those responsible cannot yet say how often the WoW Variety Show will take place.
