Call of Duty: Warzone: Operator design leads to accusations of plagiarism

A dog operator planned for Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard has resulted in plagiarism charges against the developers.

The new operator “Medical Samoyed” planned for Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard, which should be released together with the upcoming Terminator bundles, is currently causing accusations of plagiarism against the developers.

According to concept artist Sail Lin, he created the dog-headed soldier’s design over two years ago. For this he delivers via Twitter Proof images that will be on the online portfolio website in 2019 ArtStation show uploaded design:

“I am the original artist that the upcoming CoD Vanguard Samoyed skin was plagiarized from. While I’m also a CoD player, I’m very disappointed that my work is being plagiarized in this way by a large company like Activision.”

“I have asked Activision for an explanation and/or compensation and hopefully the situation will resolve soon. As an artist in my own right, that’s all I can do and I need to address this issue so things like this don’t happen in the future.”

Raven Software has removed the Medical Samoyed skin from its website in response to the allegation. A blog post and tweets promoting the operator have been adjusted or deleted.
