Guild Wars 2 drops a popular endgame mount and gives it to you at level 10

With the new update, players in Guild Wars 2 can already ride a cool raptor at level 10. Previously, this was only possible from level 80.

What mount is this? The Raptor is a dino mount that carries you around on its back. It is one of the fastest mounts on the ground and can perform long jumps. Now you can already ride the raptor at level 10.

In addition, he has a special ability that will come in handy in battle. He jumps to a certain spot and lets you dismount automatically. Then you have all opponents right next to you and only have to knock them down.

Where was that before? Previously you had to reach level 80 and own the Path of Fire expansion to get the Raptor.

The expansion introduced mounts to Guild Wars 2, the Raptor coming first. Within the story you traveled to a village, helped the residents and received the mount as a reward. There are now many different mounts.

And the masteries? All mounts have their own Masteries that unlock new abilities for them. This allows the Raptor to jump further, for example. When he jumps on enemies, he sucks in the enemies for a short time while dismounting you.

However, you cannot level the masteries at level 10 yet. This is actually only possible when you have reached level 80 and bought Path of Fire.

Guild Wars 2 is coming to Steam soon and aims to attract new players

The MMORPG is scheduled to appear on Steam in 2022 and wants to be more beginner-friendly to attract new players to the Steam version. Riding a raptor is already a strong argument to check out Guild Wars 2. The developers hope for new players.

There have also been some recent adjustments that should make the game less complicated:

• There is only one currency in the dungeons, up from 8. The rewards have also been slightly improved.
• A new raid mode makes it easier for beginners to defeat the bosses.
• The training arena has been simplified.
• The categories of daily achievements have been consolidated and are now clearer.
• In addition, there are always bug fixes.

When is GW2 coming to Steam? This is unknown. Officially, it is said that the release should take place in 2022.
