Crypt of the Necrodancer: Huge new DLC available, successor announced

After Crypt of the Necrodancer received its first update in years last month, developer Brace Yourself Games has even more news for you.

On the one hand, a new DLC for Crypt of the Necrodancer is available with Synchrony, on the other hand, a sequel called Rift of the Necrodancer is in the works.

Few details for part two

Little is known about Rift of the Necrodancer, which is described as a “new standalone rhythm game in the Necrodancer universe.”

And that’s pretty much it for the sequel information, at least for now.

More Crypt of the Necrodancer news:

The Synchrony DLC is out now available on Steamonce in Early Access and 10 percent cheaper until August 11th, and brings a lot of innovations with it.

Among other things, you have three new characters with Klarinetta, Chaunter and Suzu that you can play with. Three new enemies come into play with Thief, Mannequin and Shock Monkey.

There are also additional items, including shields and new spells. For example, one of them can turn enemies into allies. New traps, shrines and much more are also included.

Furthermore, Synchrony complements the game with an online multiplayer mode for up to eight players. You can play cooperatively and against each other, and a mix of local and internet play is also possible.

You can find the fairly extensive release notes for the DLC here.

In the coming months, more features are to be added to the DLC, with Brace Yourself Games expecting completion in the first or second quarter of 2023.
