3 legendary birds torment trainers in Pokémon GO – Catch is so difficult, you have to hope for weak level

For almost two weeks, the Galar forms of Artkos, Zapdos and Lavados have been up to mischief in Pokémon GO. But they are really difficult to catch.

The biggest carrot in front of the nose are the Galar forms of the three legendary Kanto birds Artkos, Zapdos and Lavados. You can currently only discover them on adventure smoke walks. But even that is very difficult.

There is no guaranteed way yet to spot the birds with the smoke – you need luck. So it’s very possible that you haven’t encountered any of the three to this day, even if you’ve used the smoke on a daily basis.

But even if one of the monsters does spawn, don’t expect too much to add it to your collection. Because the beasts really rarely want to stay in the ball.

How hard is the catch? On the Pokémon GO subreddit TheSilphRoad (via reddit) is currently a graphic of the page GamePress discussed. According to GamePress, the birds have a mere 0.3 percent chance of being caught, plus a 90 percent escape rate.

This means: It is very likely that the bird will not stay in the ball and will run away immediately after breaking free.

In addition, GamePress calculated the odds of using a Hyper Ball, Gold Raspberry, Curve Ball, and Platinum Medal – ideal catching conditions.

If you throw a really good “Fabulous Throw” in the smallest possible circle, the chance is a little higher than with a bad throw – but still not high. You actually have the best chance when you meet a really, really weak specimen of the three birds. Because the lower the level, the higher the chance of success.

For example, with an Artkos at the lowest level, you can apparently get a 35% chance with a perfect throw under ideal conditions. That’s still not too much, but at least more than 0.3%.

But you have to find such a low level legendary Pokémon first – not to mention that they hardly ever appear anyway.
