Guild Wars 2: Fan has calculated the most meaningful Legendary for you!
Guild Wars 2 offers you a wealth of spectacular legendary weapons to build. These so-called Legendaries all have a great design, special cosmetic effects and offer you the choice of values that can be changed at any time. Accordingly, you are armed with them for all situations – as long as they make sense for a build. And that’s the big dilemma: as strong as a Legendary is, if there isn’t a strong build that uses that weapon type, you’re out of luck. That’s why a hard-working GW2 fan has set out to find out which Legendary is theoretically worth the most!

You should build these Legendaries in Guild Wars 2
Thanks to the introduction of the Legendary Armory, once you unlock a Legendary weapon on every single character on your account, you’ll have access to that weapon. So it pays off the most if many of your heroes have something of the weapon. This overview is not about which skin you get – the generations differ in price, in terms of effort and also in their design. The only answer you get is: How many meta builds and semi-meta builds use this weapon? It’s about PvE content, i.e. fractals, raids and strikes – PvP and WvW are left out:
Clear Winner: This weapon type is important for most builds in GW2
The Redditor EvilMyself comes to a clear conclusion: If you want to play many different classes and builds, then a certain one-handed weapon is most worthwhile for your gold: The ax is the main hand weapon in eleven strong builds and twice as an offhand weapon. Above all, the amount of main hand weapon applications is crucial, since you get at least three new skills, while an off-hand weapon has to make do with two. Scepter, torch, pistol and dagger are also common, but they are more often an offhand option – the torch always anyway. It represents the best “Pure Offhand” choice.

Legendaries in GW2: two-handed weapons? Unfortunately not recommended
Tragically, two-handed weapons rarely play a role in Guild Wars 2’s strongest builds. As magnificent as legendary hammers are: only three builds (Quickness Scrapper, Power Catalyst and Alacrity Untamed) use powerful peacemakers. The rifle is even represented only twice (exclusively for engineers). If you want to build reasonably “sensibly”, you can craft a legendary staff. The weapon type is necessary for six ways of playing. Even powerful greatswords like the unique Exordium only matter in three builds.

Of course, this is only about the best of the best builds: GW2 lover Matthias, for example, loves to use Exordium for his Soulbeast DpS ranger, even though the prescribed build dictates dagger or sword. So if you don’t swear by min-max specs, you can continue to build whatever you feel like.
