ARC Raiders: Free2Play shooter affected by postponement

ARC Raiders (Shooter) von Embark Studios

Another candidate who won’t make it to PC and consoles in 2022: Embark Studios announces that Arc Raiders is shifting. The studio still owes an exact date.

The first and only Gameplay video for the new shooter Arc Raiders, the newly founded Embark Studios from Stockholm, was able to impress quite a bit. Battling towering robotic spiders in 4-player online co-op looked and looks like a lot of fun. Although the statement that this is a Free2Play game naturally brings with it corresponding question marks.

More time for more play

Chief developer Patrick Söderlund and his team at Embark Studios asked for a little more time so that it doesn’t just end with a pretty graphics demo, which then has nothing on the pan in terms of gameplay.

According to current statements, Arc Raiders will be postponed from an undetermined date in 2022 to a still undetermined date in 2023. The additional time should be used to create exactly the gaming experience that the developers had in mind for the visually impressive shooter.

Since there have been hardly any further details about the game so far, and you can’t be seen at Gamescom, it is to be hoped that the development will still be reasonably satisfactory.

Arc Raiders will now be released sometime in 2023 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S|X.
