Horizon Forbidden West: This ingenious solar machine is environmentally conscious and definitely has to be in part 3
There are a lot of new creatures in Horizon Forbidden West that make life difficult for Aloy. These include the snake Slitherfang or the mighty mammoths that threaten to crush our heroine under their pounders. Most of us have probably already thought about which machines would fit into the world of Horizon. Unfortunately, not all of us are as artistically gifted as Rory Calvert, who dreamed up and penned some ingenious robo-animals.
Here you will find an overview of all machines in Forbidden West:

These machines could also have come from Guerrillas themselves
Aloy is probably getting a trilogy. We don’t know anything about the conclusion of the Horizon story yet, but it’s fun to start thinking about what new creatures could be. One machine I definitely want to see in Horizon 3 now is this creation shared by Calvert on Reddit:

The fact that the machines use solar energy makes perfect sense. The artist even came up with a suitable lore. The quadrupeds apparently follow the course of the sun in order to absorb as much energy as possible during the day. At night, they then switch to energy-saving mode. If Aloy slays one of the robots, she can snag some cooling water, a small amount of Blaze, and various useful electrical components. Calvert continues:
These giants tower over other stag-shaped machines that exist in the 31st century. Its antler-like solar arrays convert the sun’s energy into electricity and store it in the power pack in its chest. Rather docile for such a large machine, they are more than capable of defending themselves with electrified attacks if necessary.

More news from the Horizon universe:
Calvert has even more drawings in stock, including a penguin, a camel and a manta ray. Apparently, the sketches were made after the launch of Horizon Zero Dawn and disappeared for a few years. If you look at the concepts, you’ll see that some creatures similar to this exist in Forbidden West as well. So the community and guerrilla games had similar ideas.
What do you think of the solar machine and do you have any cool ideas for the Horizon Forbidden West sequel?
