Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak: First major update coming tomorrow

Capcom has confirmed that the first major update for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will be released tomorrow, August 10, 2022.

It has the version number 11.0.1 (Switch) or 11.0.1.0 (PC), is about 1 GB on the Switch and about 9 GB on the PC.

The highlights of the update

Among other things, the update brings a number of innovations with it. You can read the highlights below:

New story elements

  • New monsters have been added and will appear in site quests.
  • Added new infested monsters.
  • Added new quests.
  • A new quest system called Anomaly Investigations has been added. Anomaly Investigations become available after you complete the main story and make some progress in the game.
  • Added new location: Forbidden Tower.
  • Added new weapons, armor, decor gear, and abilities.
  • Added new facility related to anomaly investigations.
  • New feature “Quriose Crafting” available in the Forge.

New system elements

  • Added new Guild Map pages, prizes, and titles.
  • Two new speaking times have been added to auto calls: “When the monster is calmed down” and “When the monster is delirious”.
  • You can now choose a Hero Badge to be displayed next to your character’s name.
  • Added a new option: “Hunter Connection Invite Settings”.

Additions and changes exclusive to the Steam version

  • Added new Steam achievements. These achievements can be unlocked by getting the Guild Map Medals added in Ver.10.0.2.0. Achievements for new medals added with Ver.11.0.1.0 will be available with the next update (Free Title Update 2).
