Pokémon GO kicks off Spotlight Hour with Nidoran (f) today, August 9th, 2022. Here you will find an overview of all information about the start time, bonus and Shiny-Nidoran.

What is this event? Spotlight Hour is every Tuesday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. During this time, a certain Pokémon always appears more frequently in the wild.

This week, this is the female Nidoran. There is also a bonus that can help you level up quickly. Here you can find all information.

Spotlight Hour on August 9th – Launch, Bonuses, Shiny

When does spotlight hour start? As usual, the event starts at 18:00 local time. Nidoran spawns everywhere for 60 minutes until it’s over again at 7:00 p.m. Until then, the bonus also applies.

What is the bonus? Today, each monster you catch during the hour will give you double Catch XP. You can double that again if you use lucky eggs during this time.

However, you should consider saving the lucky eggs for next Saturday. The Community Day with Galar Zigzachs offers even heavier XP bonuses.

Does Shiny Nidoran exist? Yes, you can catch the Shiny version of Nidoran. However, keep in mind that the Spotlight Hour does not bring an increased Shiny Chance, it is the same low as always. However, the numerous encounters are a good opportunity to try your luck.

Who is worth the spotlight hour with Nidoran?

Nidoran is a first generation monster and has been around for a very long time. So many trainers will already have it, but if you don’t already have it, it’s worth it for the Pokédex entry.

In raids you can rather ignore Nidoran and his developments. However, a good Nidoqueen, i.e. the latest development, definitely has a place in the super and hyper league. If you like playing PvP, a catch can also be worthwhile.
