The First Descendant: New teaser trailer for loot shooter reveals beta date

The free-to-play title from the South Korean development studio NEXON Games Co., Ltd., which was known as Projekt Magnum a few weeks ago, is getting a new teaser trailer along with the announcement of the Steam Betawhich is supposed to get in the mood for the role-playing/shooter hybrids from October 20th to 26th.

In The First Descendant, you slip into the role of an eponymous descendant. Your task: protect the continent of Ingris and the people who live on it. You can blow away the individually targetable body parts of the sometimes gigantic invaders, alone or in online co-op with up to 3 other death-defying comrades, with futuristic-looking shooting clubs. The teaser trailer gives a glimpse of the different characters, each allowing for a different playstyle, as well as the combat and mobility that awaits us in the game. The developer not only shows proper use of firearms, but also the use of a grappling hook, which, like various combinable weapons, varied equipment and ability-giving items, should be an important part of the gameplay.

Those interested in the free-to-play loot shooter for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S can already access the Steam Beta request. From the start of the beta in October, it will also become clear whether The First Descendant is a worthy descendant of its genre family or whether all that glitters in Unreal Engine 5 is gold.
