Twitch streamer MontanaBlack falls out with “Big Mac, ban him” host

For years, the moderator BigMac ensured law and order in the chat of Twitch streamer Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris (34). Now the two seem to have parted ways. The reason is different views on drugs.

Who is actually BigMac? It is not known who is behind the pseudonym “BigMac”. But for many fans, BigMac is simply part of the MontanaBlack streams. He was a presenter for eight years.

Above all, Montanablack’s request “ban the way, BigMac” is associated with him.

what happened In a late July stream, MontanaBlack broached the topic of drugs. The topic is probably particularly close to his heart, since he himself has struggled with substance abuse and addiction and has lost friends to drugs.

He advised his followers not to seek refuge in drugs.

However, his mod BigMac saw things differently and announced in the chat: “Psychedelics fix your life. Don’t listen to him.” As a result, he was banned by MontanaBlack for the time being.

How does BigMac react? The former moderator himself has not yet commented publicly on the situation. After a few days without any significant activity on his Twitter account he posted a picture of Galileo Galilei.

That could easily be taken as a dig at MontanaBlack. Because the Italian scholar had been sentenced to revoke his theses. While these turned out to be accurate, the world was arguably not ready for them – a role BigMac seems to identify with.

And what does MontanaBlack say? He had probably hoped to be able to clarify the matter somehow. In the stream, he told his fans that he sent BigMac several voice messages on WhatsApp. The former mod hadn’t responded to any of them.

in one Stream from August 5th reported MontanaBlack: BigMac had answered him in the meantime. He reiterated his decision to ban the mod:

• He would still like BigMac and get along well with him.
• However, he said that BigMac, as his “employee,” needs to conduct himself in a way that doesn’t harm him as a streamer and public figure.
• Privately, BigMac could have different opinions, but he was not allowed to make any statements for which MontanaBlack could be banned from Twitch.

However, he also resisted statements that he was slowly standing there all alone. Certain friendships would just fall apart.
