DDR5 RAM: Teamgroup Elite Plus with up to 6,000 MHz and a new cooler

from Norman Wittkopf
With the Elite Plus series, manufacturer Teamgroup is expanding its portfolio of DDR5 RAM with fast RAM bars with 6,000 MHz and a new heatsink design.

After Teamgroup had already presented the regular Elite model series without a cooler at up to 5,600 MHz in June, the Plus versions go one step further in terms of cooling and clock. The manufacturer from Taiwan had already presented DDR5 working memory sticks with 6,000 MHz and more, but these were previously reserved for the more expensive T-Force series with additional lighting.

The Elite Plus series is now also bringing 6,000 MHz to mid-range team groups, with the manufacturer highlighting the new cooler design with aluminum heatsink in either black or silver in its announcement, as well as the supply voltage of 1.1 volts and on- die-ECC and compatibility with current AMD and Intel systems.

The new lineup of DDR5-6000 RAM with timings of CL48-48-48-96 is scheduled to ship August 9 as a single 16 GiB bar ($129.99 MSRP) or as a kit totaling 32 GiB ($259 $.99 MSRP) become available. Further models with DDR5-4800 and DDR5-5600 in single/dual-channel options from 8 GiB to 32 GiB storage capacity are to follow at the beginning of September.

According to the press release, the new memory models will soon be available worldwide via Amazon and Newegg in North America. There are already first ones in the PCGH price comparison Listings of Teamgroups DDR5 Elite Plusbut the new RAM modules are not yet available from any dealer.
