Game of Thrones star admits last season had a problem
Game of Thrones season 8 is still the subject of sometimes very heated discussions. Many fans were very disappointed by the finale and clearly vented their displeasure at the time. Partly was the tone of voice extremely toxicwhich the author George RR Martin does not like either, but the basic tenor was also overall rather negative. One of the actors who starred in this series has now spoken out on the subject. He admitted that last season actually had a specific problem.
Which actor is it?
We’re talking about Hafthor Julius Bjornssonwhich you from Game of Thrones as Gregory Clegane (nickname: The Mountain) should know. This character had though only a few lines of dialoguebut remained with the fans mainly because of its gigantic shape and the brutal fight against Oberyn Martell in memory. During a recent stream at twitch he commented on the controversial season 8 of the series in an interview with “Mizkif”.
“I hear that question a lot. I think the show is great and overall the final season was good. But I understand the fans. There were a lot of things that happened very quickly. I wish they had more could do, maybe even another season. I felt like an awful lot was told in a very short amount of time.”
Although he is no scathing judgment about season 8 of Game of Thrones, he agrees with many critics with this statement. One of the most frequently listed negative point is the rushed storytelling in the final episodes. Many events as well as actions of certain characters took effect hasty and therefore not very comprehensible. Yes it would another season actually helped deliver a better ending to Game of Thrones? Hopefully the upcoming House of the Dragon prequel series will offer a more forgiving ending.
