Mario Kart 8 hid a handy shortcut particularly well from me behind a secret wall

Tobi has only now discovered a shortcut in the Ninja Dojo.

Tobi has only now discovered a shortcut in the Ninja Dojo.

I can already imagine what’s coming: “Maaan, Tobi, this abbreviation is very old, I discovered it right after the release.” And surely there are many who should already know the shortcut on the Ninja Dojo booster pass route in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I just recently stumbled across this and find it interesting for two reasons:

  • She saves a few seconds on the course (Sure)
  • You don’t have to dodge annoying shy guys

What exactly is it about? On the Ninja Dojo course, as on all courses of the fun racer, there are a few shortcuts and secret paths. However, one of them is particularly well hidden because it is hidden behind a secret wall that you can quickly miss when driving past – like I did.

Tobias Veltin

Actually, Tobi is not someone who necessarily wants to find and use all the shortcuts in a (fun) racer. However, he takes a closer look at Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and the new booster route pass courses. But that didn’t really help with the Ninja Dojo for a long time. Otherwise this article would have been written much earlier.

Full throttle through the wood plants

Where is this abbreviation? About halfway after takeoff, just after you exit the dojo and enter the flying area with the bamboo trees. In the section with the moving shuriken platforms just before the left turn, you have to watch out for the left side.

There are a few wooden displays with piranha plants painted on them. Here you can simply dash through, because the wall will be destroyed as soon as you hit it. So you can get to the bamboo area a little faster and also have fewer obstacles due to the missing Shy Guys.
