MultiVersus has attracted over ten million players

MultiVersus: Start of Season 1 and Morty postponed (1)

Fighting games are always quite an interesting thing. For example, the Super Smash Bros series is quite popular among gamers, and few people seem to have never heard of it. But not all platform fighters, or fighting games as a whole, can look forward to similar numbers. While indie offshoots like Rivals of Aether or Them’s Fighting Herds are pretty good games, they only boast a fraction of the player base that giants like Smash Bros have.

MultiVersus reaches new milestone

Even titles from larger studios, such as Arc System Works’ Guilty Gear Strive, have a sizeable player base, but by and large they are still at home in a niche. It’s quite interesting to see how MultiVersus from Player First Games is breaking new records almost every day. The title has been in an open beta since July 26 of this year, and the game was able to play right on day one wow over 150,000 concurrent players. Guilty Gear Strive, on the other hand, cracked just about the 30,000 mark.

Now MultiVersus has probably reached another milestone, because as on the page Tracker.gg As can be seen, the title attracted over ten million players just two weeks after its release. Warner Bros. Games itself hasn’t released an official statement on their player counts, but Tracker.gg uses the game’s API to find out the number of unique accounts. So the data should be fairly accurate.
