Squad 51 vs. the Flying Saucers: Black and White Shooter is coming this fall

Squad 51 vs. the Flying Saucers is coming to Xbox, PC, Switch and PlayStation this fall.

Publisher Assemble Entertainment, publisher WhisperGames and indie studio Loomiarts are releasing the classic shoot ’em’ up Squad 51 vs. the Flying Saucers for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch this fall! For a first impression there is already a Prologue on Steam available, which shows three levels that are also playable in local coop.

In cooperation with the film production team Fehorama Films, a unique 1950s sci-fi film aesthetic was created through professionally filmed cutscenes with real actors for a first-class cinematic experience. The dimension-shifting shoot-’em-up features 2D action in 3D environments and is inspired by 1950s sci-fi icons such as ‘War of the Worlds’, ‘Godzilla’, ‘Dr. Strangelove’ and ‘Plan 9 from Outer Space’.

Squad 51 vs. the Flying Saucers isn’t the first product of the intergalactic collaboration between Assemble Entertainment and WhisperGames. The Chinese publisher previously marketed the strategy hit Endzone – A World Apart in Asia, among other things.

A classic black and white shoot ’em up, Squad 51 vs. the Flying Saucers borrows the 1950’s sci-fi film aesthetic for a totally unique visual experience.

In 11 different levels, the crew of Squad 51 blast their way free in the fight against the abominable Director Zarog. The evil leader is responsible for an alien invasion on earth and it’s time to fight for the freedom of mankind. Squad 51 vs. the Flying Saucers features multiple difficulty levels, English voice acting, multiplayer and much more.

Danger! Aliens from outer space have landed on our planet, promising us a bright new future. However, our intergalactic partnership has already revealed its dark side: The VEGA CORPORATION, an alien corporation led by the vile DIRECTOR ZAROG, is imposing their exploitative policies on humanity.
