WoW: Dragonflight: Azmerloth – in this timeline, the Murlocs rule Azeroth!
The Azeroth our heroes know is just one of many timelines. In a quest for the bronze dragonflight in WoW: Dragonflight, we learn what Azeroth would look like if murlocs were the dominant people from Azeroth.
In the Capital of the Dragon Islands (Thaldraszus) all representatives of the dragonflights gather in one place. Similar to Oribos in Shadowlands, Thaldraszus will be a real, large capital. Here we also meet the Bronze Dragonflight, which is known to guard the powers of time.
The Bronze Dragonflight gives you some of Dragonflight’s most exciting quests here. Among other things, we are led to Azmerloth. In this alternate timeline the world is not called Azeroth but Azmerloth and is not ruled by humans, orcs, trolls, dwarves etc., but here murlocs are the ruling people. And everything else is based on the fish creatures.

In the quest on Azermloth we meet Varian wrynn Wryngrrlgulgll and Finduin Wryngrrlgulgll – of course a reference to the late king of Stormwind and his son Anduin. Thrallgrulgulgul (Thrall) is also part of the game

Other heroes include Vrglrok Saurfin (Varok Saurfang), Tyrggrln Webbedring (Tirion Fordring), Baine Blrrgfin (Baine Bloodhoof), and Gillvanas (Sylvanas), who is easily recognizable in her murloc version. In this alternate timeline, however, we also encounter murlocs we are familiar with, such as Old Murk-Eye and “Captain” Cookie.

During the quest we end up in the Dragonblight…or whatever it’s called in Murlocspeak. This is where the murlocs have their own Deathwing problem. Deathwingurlugull has positioned himself in front of Wyrmrest Temple and must be defeated by our heroes. For completing this quest we will get the item heart of azmerloth, a nod to the Heart of Azeroth necklace from BfA.
