Alone in the Dark: Reboot officially announced with trailer

A reboot of Alone in the Dark has been officially announced with first details and a trailer.

At its showcase last night, THQ Nordic announced a new Alone in the Dark game. The first information about this leaked out the previous afternoon.

Now the publisher is making it official: Alone in the Dark is a reboot, i.e. a reinterpretation, which was developed by Pieces Interactive in Sweden and will be released for PC, Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5.

Designed to scare you to the core, the reimagining of the original trilogy returns to notorious locations with an all-new story and mythical locations to explore.

Alone in the Dark offers a noir setting with classic Lovecraftian horror elements where the familiar meets the surreal.

Deep South in the 1920s, Emily Hartwood’s uncle has disappeared. You can either take on the role of private investigator Edward Carnby to help him solve the mystery, or as Emily Hartwood herself, embark on a journey to Derceto Manor, a home for the insane where something is lurking.

You will encounter strange residents, nightmarish worlds and dangerous monsters, and eventually uncover a plot of the emerging evil.
