Diablo 3: Start of Season 27 officially confirmed – that’s in it

The start date of Season 27 in Diablo 3 is known. The new chapter runs later this month. We show you the season theme, the starter sets and the rewards of the new season.

When does it start? Season 27 starts on August 26, 2022 and is called “Light’s Calling” (roughly “The Call of Light”). This is less than a week after Season 26 ended.

As usual, it starts for you on the PC at 5:00 p.m. German time. Console players usually wait longer and can only start at night. August 26th is a Friday – the classic weekday to which Blizzard links such start dates.

This is the topic: In Season 27 you can find the Angelic Crucibles consumables. They can drop anywhere after you reach level 70. If you use a Crucible on a legendary item, it randomly gains one of three class-specific powers. It then becomes a Sanctified Item.

• The Angelic Crucibles can only drop in Seasonal play and cannot be carried over to non-Seasonal play
• You can use it to craft as many Sanctified items as you want – however, you can only have one Sanctified item equipped at a time
• With another Angelic Crucible you can roll over the Sanctified Items again
• Only Legendary items from level 70 are eligible for the upgrade – crafted items do not work
• You cannot equip your companions like the Templar with Sanctified Items
• Through PTR testing and feedback, Angelic Crucibles’ drop chances have been doubled

Haedrig’s Gifts – The starter sets of Season 27

What is that? If you complete Chapters 2, 3 and 4 in the Season Journey of Season 27, you will receive set parts from Haedrig’s Gift, which you can use to complete a class set. Because you can start the season journey right at the beginning at level 70, these gifts are also called starter sets.

Each season changes which set you get for which class from the gifts. In S27 there are the following sets from Haedrig’s Gift:

Cosmetic rewards in S27

You can unlock: Since Season 17 you can earn old cosmetic items and new cosmetic items per season. This is made for the players who have not cleared the rewards in the past few years.

In Season 27 you will receive rewards from Season 15:

• The Conqueror set’s chest and gauntlets
• portrait frame
• The Companion Belphegor (a type of demon walking hand)

New items from Season 27 are:

• The companion Corvus cadaverous
• The Portrait of Laurel of Knowledge
