God of War Ragnarök: Odin delights fans – leaked concept art spreads around the web

Where does the information come from? Insiders believed dead live longer, that probably also applies to Dusk Golem, aka. AestheticGamer on Twitter. In the past, the leaker has often announced his withdrawal from the business around leaks, rumors and insider knowledge – but so far he has always returned and brought fresh information from the break. This time he’s collected news on one of the most anticipated PS5 releases of 2022.

In the well-known Gaming Leaks Subreddit, Dusk Golem was last seen – instead of the usual information about horror games like the much-suspected “Silent Hill” reboot from Konami, the insider had something new about God of War Ragnarök in his luggage. To be more precise, Dusk Golem has unceremoniously shown a previously unknown concept drawing of Odin, the father of the gods.

What do we learn about Odin? In general, Santa Monica Studio has so far kept the role of Odin in God of War Ragnarok under wraps. At the beginning of the year, the development studio revealed a large number of characters from the upcoming action-adventure, but the chief of the Norse gods was left out. The leak of Dust Golem now gives us a first look at the father of the gods – who again looks different than many fans had probably imagined. For spoiler reasons, we won’t feature Odin in the article, but you can see him in this one Reddit post Find.

The image sports a bold watermark of Dusk Golem and unfortunately no full image of Odin is available, but the torso can be seen fairly clearly. Instead of an imposing physique like God of War Ragnarök’s version of Thor, Odin himself comes across as rather thin and worn out. In fact, his demeanor is more zombie-like, with ashen skin and glowing eyes.

God of War fans are already excited about his design after a little glimpse of Odin’s appearance. The fact that Santa Monica Studio doesn’t just portray the father of the gods as just any god of great pathos appeals to many – similar to what was already the case with the character presentation of Thor. However, Dusk Golem admits that it is ultimately just a concept art, the final look of Odin in God of War Ragnarök may have changed by now.

God of War Ragnarok: Release confirmed for 2022 – Santa Monica Studio is keeping story under wraps

What else is known about God of War Ragnarök? It wasn’t until the beginning of July that the eagerly awaiting fans should be able to confirm that God of War Ragnarök will be released this year at all. In the meantime, however, Papa Kratos’ next journey has a release date: on November 9th, 2022 we will be drawn again to the nine Nordic realms. You can already pre-order God of War Ragnarök to start playing in time for the release.

Apart from a few short trailers, Santa Monica Studio has not yet revealed anything about the story of Ragnarök. However, this could also change in the coming weeks. An insider recently warned that a mistake by Sony could ensure that all details about God of War Ragnarök are revealed.
