QUBE 10th Anniversary: Puzzle gets a visual makeover for its birthday

QUBE is released as a 10th anniversary version with a visual overhaul for its milestone birthday.

Like a fine wine, the remastered and refreshed version of the first-person puzzle game QUBE will be available on Wednesday, September 14th on Steam, the Epic Games Store and Xbox Series X|S. The PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch versions will follow shortly thereafter, Toxic Games announces.

The latest game from Toxic Games, aptly named QUBE 10th Anniversary, will feature revamped visuals and, in some places, completely redesigned and remastered sections for all of the content featured in both the original release and the 2014 QUBE: Director’s Cut – which in turn featured an all-new story by award-winning author Rob Yescombe.

The all-new comparison trailer perfectly shows the visual differences between the original version and QUBE 10th Anniversary, although the game will also feature all-new content, including an all-new chapter called Sector 8, which offers an additional 4-6 hours of gameplay after completing the Main campaign unlocked.

Dave Hall, Creative Director said of the game:

“We wanted to make sure QUBE 10th Anniversary was the ultimate celebration of the series’ tenth year. While this new trailer puts the spotlight on the new, overhauled visuals, it’s not about serving up the same game in brand new clothes. We completely redesigned the world of QUBE to offer fans – new and old – a whole new way to play.”

The debut of QUBE 10th Anniversary coincides exactly with the release of its sequel, QUBE 2, in 2018, making the leap from PC to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for the first time in the game’s history.
