The Callisto Protocol: How brutal is it getting? Rating gives gory details

How brutal will the upcoming The Callisto Protocol be? A new age rating now allows a little more insight into this aspect.

Developer Striking Distance Studios’ game has been given a Mature rating by Infocomm Media Development Authority in Singapore lostas expected.

What is the reasoning?

“From the third-person perspective, the player explores dark and decayed locations where he encounters bloodstains and corpses,” it says. “To advance in the game, the player must use melee weapons, firearms, and environmental hazards to combat and kill mutant and human enemies.”

“There are some scary moments when enemies suddenly appear and attack the player. If the player gets caught by an enemy, he can be killed. In addition, the player has to navigate through treacherous environments, such as streams of water through which he must meander to avoid spikes and rotating fan blades, or risk being impaled or dismembered on impact.”

More news on The Callisto Protocol:

“Throughout the game there are graphic depictions of violence as the player beats up, tramples, or shoots at humans and mutant creatures with weapons. More powerful depictions show enemies being dismembered and decapitated, with copious amounts of blood seen. The player can also use a self Use spinning wood chipper to obliterate enemies, resulting in visible haze of blood.”

In addition, words like “fuck” and the like can often be heard.

The Callisto Protocol is slated for release on December 2nd, 2022 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
