WoW: This is how the raid affixes are divided per boss in the Mausoleum of the First
Since August 17, 2022, the latest raid from WoW: Shadowlands has been playable in its fateful version, i.e. equipped with various affixes. Of course, it is important to know which of the four affixes is active on which boss. We’ll tell you.
After spending the past two weeks both that sanctum of domination as well as Castle Nathria in its fateful version, the latest raid from WoW: Shadowlands is now on the program: the mausoleum of the first. In it, popular (and hated) bosses like Anduin, Halondrus or the Jailer await us.
In the Fateful Raid, these bosses are each equipped with an affix in addition to the higher scaling (more health points and more damage). These make the fight more difficult and easier at the same time. They require attention and active play, but reward good handling with a strong bonus. If you know in advance which boss will use which affix, you can prepare well for it. That’s why we want to tell you.
Raid Affixes (Powers of Destiny) of the bosses in the Mausoleum of the First
WoW Shadowlands season 4 raid affixes explained
- Charges up a player, dealing cosmic damage every second for 30 seconds. This effect stacks. After the charge is removed, it emits sparks of creation to nearby locations, buffing players within 0 yards of the impact location, increasing the flow of time by 15%, increasing attack and casting speed, cooldown recharge, and Increase regular tick rates and also increase movement speed by 45%. This effect stacks. When a Spark of Creation hits the ground and there are no players nearby to buff it, it explodes, dealing cosmic damage every 2 seconds for 20 seconds. This effect stacks.
- Creates an opponent that constantly casts spells and can be attacked. That foe is immune to damage until the first successful spell cast or until the first interrupt. Successfully cast spells deal cosmic damage to all players. Every 5 seconds, the Emitter’s damage dealt increases by 0%. This effect stacks. If successfully interrupted, the emitter will emit, dealing cosmic damage to all players. After defeating this enemy, it bestows might on all players based on the Emitter’s energy level, increasing Mastery by 10, Critical Strike Chance by up to 10%, Versatility by up to 10%, and Avoidance by up to 8.
- Empowers the caster, dealing cosmic damage to all players every 3 sec. After this barrier is removed, it creates an attackable enemy that casts an absorb shield shared with all other enemies for 15 seconds. A second unit is spawned that can be healed to reduce the strength of the split shield. Upon expiration, the barrier explodes, dealing Cosmic damage and also dealing Cosmic damage to all players every second for 8 seconds. When the barrier is destroyed, it deals all damage done during the barrier’s existence as cosmic damage to all enemies, and also grants all players up to 25% increased damage, 25% increased healing, and 25% increased absorption for 40 sec.
- Summons a Chaotic Essence that casts Chaotic Destruction, dealing cosmic damage to all players on success. When interacted with, the Essence becomes hostile and instead continually spawns Chaotic Particles. These particles channel cosmic damage into targeted players every 0.5 seconds for 3 seconds. When Particles are defeated, they split into more Particles. After 15 seconds, the Chaotic Essence fades, increasing all players’ damage, healing, and absorption by 2% for 25 seconds. This effect stacks for each Chaotic Mote killed.
The future schedule for the Fateful Raids:
- August 17 – Fateful First Mausoleum
- August 24 – Fateful Castle Nathria
- August 31 – Fateful Sanctum of Dominion
So each boss got his own raid affix. In addition to the boss’s normal abilities, you have to pay attention to one more thing and adjust your tactics if necessary. This brings new momentum to the old boss fights, where you not only face bosses with more oomph and life points. What do you think of the Forces of Destiny idea for Shadowlands raids? We look forward to your opinion in the comments.
