Assassin's Creed Infinity: Rumors about Japan intensify

from Michael Miskulin
New rumors and leaks indicate that the next Assassin’s Creed Infinity will also play in Japan. This goes back to reports and leaks from Tom Henderson and Jeff Grubb.

Previous reports have indicated work on the next project for Assassin’s Creed, which Ubisoft finally officially confirmed. It should be a major project that will be called Assassin’s Creed Infinity as an online game. It’s supposed to be a kind of platform that connects games from different eras with each other by means of extensions. New reports suggest that Infinity will likely span two historical eras at launch.

Assassin’s Creed Infinity: A Ninja in Japan

The new reports come from the well-known and renowned Leaker Tom Henderson and the Journalist Jeff Grubb. Accordingly, one of the two epochs should take the player to ancient Japan. The working title of the whole thing should be called Project Red (after the red of the Japanese flag). Players may also immediately think of Ghost of Tsushima – but unlike this title, you shouldn’t act as a samurai, but as a ninja. This could also indicate more sneak passages again, because ninjas were more like assassins. Japan has always been a setting that players in the Assassin’s Creed series have often wished for.

Not much is known about the second setting or epoch of Assassin’s Creed Infinity. Jeff Grubb notes that the community has not yet been able to guess this setting. The epoch is still “very cool”. But before that, an offshoot of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla called “Rift” should appear. It stars Basim, the mysterious assassin from the early game who’s said to be roaming around Baghdad and Constantinople. We can only speculate about the release dates. Assassin’s Creed Rift could be out in late 2022, while Assassin’s Creed Infinity is likely out in late 2023. In any case, on the evening of September 10, 2022, Ubisoft announced an event.
