Pokémon GO: All teams of the challengers to the World Cup event and how to defeat them

The World Cup event, where you have to fight against various challengers, has been running in Pokémon GO since today. We at MeinMMO have looked at which monsters they use in battle and how you defeat them.

What are these challengers? Since the World Cup event has been taking place in Pokémon GO since August 18th and everything revolves around PvP battles, you can also encounter so-called challengers in the game again. Similar to Team GO Rocket, you can find these at the PokéStops.

There you can challenge them and compete against them. And also to solve the limited research during the World Championship event, you have to face the challengers. They will bet on the winning teams of the regional championships.

We have summarized below what they are and what types you use to defeat them best.

How long does it take to find the challengers? Challengers can be found at in-game PokéStops from August 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. local time to August 23, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. local time.

What challengers are there? During the World Cup event, you can encounter a total of 6 different challengers in Pokémon GO. As you know from other PvP battles or from Team GO Rocket, 3 different Pokémon are used in battle.

What is to be considered? The Pokémon that can be chosen by the challengers belong to different types and therefore also have different weaknesses. Depending on which monster you are facing, you should therefore use the appropriate weakness to defeat it as quickly as possible.
