Devolver Digital denies that Sony paid to keep Cult of the Lamb off Game Pass.

As we reported earlier this morning, there were rumors that Sony paid Devolver Digital to keep Cult of the Lamb from being released on Xbox Game Pass.

Devolver Digital has denied those allegations, while Sony has not yet commented on whether it paid for Cult of the Lamb not being offered for release on Xbox Game Pass or has ever purchased an Xbox Game Pass ban contract for any game as Microsoft recently questioned.

Cult of the Lamb rumors spread quickly, with Gary Whitta stating on the Kinda Funny Games Daily show: “Someone told me that part of the reason why [Cult of the Lamb] is not in Game Pass, is that Sony [den Entwickler] Paid not to offer it in Game Pass.” Next said he: “This is then an incentive for you not to conclude any additional subscription contracts with competing platforms.”

Now, publisher Devolver Digital has come out and denied the rumor, stating that “this is absolutely untrue.”
