Fallout 76: Release date for the free The Pitt content update

Fallout 76 players will venture beyond the borders of Appalachia in September for The Pitt free content update.

Today Bethesda Softworks announced the travel date for The Pitt Expedition.

The free content update for the online role-playing game Fallout 76 will therefore be available to all players on September 13th.

In The Pitt, players will help a fledgling faction against an onslaught of raiders and earn new rewards as they make their mark.

“For the first time since Fallout 3, players are invited to travel back to post-war Pittsburgh. Radiation and destruction have wreaked havoc on the former industrial metropolis – its inhabitants have mutated into cruel troggs and a battle has broken out between the workers of the union faction and the fanatics, a power-hungry raider squad.”

“Ally yourself with the union, learn about their background and earn new weapons and armor while building a reputation with the faction besieged by the raiders. Better not go on your journey without some extra (weapon-tipped) hands, but gather some friends and gear up—expedition time is almost upon us!”

The repeatable expeditions in The Pitt are scalable missions that you can choose to tackle alone or with four other players. The mission can be scaled. The missions are on par with the final questline missions in Fallout 76, so you should be prepared accordingly.

Those who successfully survive an expedition earn experience points, loot and stamps. The latter is a new currency that can be exchanged for powerful and rare Expedition-themed rewards.

There will also be a paid Recuitment Bundle with The Pitt. It includes the Pittsburgh Neighborhood CAMP Kit, a Fanatic 10mm SMG Wrap, a Trogg Plushie, the Fanatic Power Armor Wrap, and a Fusion Core Charger.
