Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered: Technical test of the PC version in the video

from Leo Smith
The friendly spider from the Playstation neighborhood is finally swinging onto the PC. Sony’s plan to bring their console titles to PC players is progressing, and after the successful PC port of God of War in January, we’re excited to see this port work just as well. We invite you to the technical test in video form of Marvel’s Spiderman Remastered with 20 GPU and CPU benchmarks.

Marvel’s Spider Man was a real blockbuster for the Playstation. Only GTA 4 and 5 have sold more successfully on Sony’s consoles. Reason enough for Sony to also offer this blockbuster for PC gamers. The superhero hit about the sympathetic, youthfully cheerful and, despite his abilities, little aloof spider man also comes from the house of the legendary developer Insomniac Games, whose portfolio includes some well-known Playstation hits. These include the Ratchet & Clank titles and the Resistance series.

The remaster is based on the original PS4 version of the game that was released in September 2018. For the remaster, many of the assets used, including textures and models, have been revised and significantly refined, the lighting has been improved and expanded, new effects have been added, and the character representation and their skin and hair rendering have been refined. In addition, the PS5 version has very handsome and cleverly implemented raytracing reflections, which of course can also shine in the PC version – in optionally higher quality. The official system requirements give a good overview of the requirements thanks to frame rates and details. Spider-Man requires 64-bit Windows from version 10 and DirectX 12 and is available from Steam and the Epic Store, among others. The PC version is also compatible with the Steam Deck and has received official verification.
