Animal Crossing: Fan film shows dramatic reset and brings tears to our eyes

The residents can no longer save themselves in the event of an island reset.

Resetting an island is a big step in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Saying goodbye is especially difficult when there are beloved residents on the island. Linda also went through this process and shed a small tear during the restart.

But how do the residents actually feel when the ground is ripped out from under their feet? The Animal Crossing fan has now asked himself this question densley dedicated and uploaded a small short film on YouTube, in which the fate of the residents is examined in more detail.

What to see The short film is about the reset function in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Sitting on his froggy chair like a real villain, the player is approached by an angry mob of residents and confronted with an eviction order. The player then sets everything in motion to delete the island and its residents:

Resetti, the hot-headed mole, also makes an appearance in the video and starts demolishing the house. As a result, numerous residents and the entire island dissolve on an apocalyptic scale. In the end, only Melinda is left to watch as her beloved friends are erased.

Tom Nook is already threatening that the NPCs will never forgive this. Following the poignant scenes, Melinda awakens with Tom Nook by her side and begins the introduction to a new player on the newly started island.

The NPCs from Happy Home Paradise will probably also be affected by the reset:

Who is Densle? Densle is no stranger, having created a number of behind-the-scenes videos of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Most recently, we were thrilled by his time travel video, in which the residents have to bow to the Nintendo Switch’s fast-forward function.
