Sonic Frontiers: Possible release date for open-world Sonic leaked
Sonic Frontiers is Sega’s next attempt to launch a popular 3D Sonic. At least according to their own statement, good ratings are a desired goal. However, the new adventure of the blue hedgehog does not have an official release date. However, there are always rumors about the release date. An online store from Taiwan is currently reporting the November 15, 2022 as a date for Sonic Frontiers. It is not the first time that this date has been mentioned for Frontiers.
Already last December we reported about the appearance of the date in the Playstation Database. In the meantime, however, there have been reports that November 8th as a possible release date. In any case, the date indicates that Sega is still planning a release this year and will not accept a postponement of the title. Fans had requested this some time ago after the first gameplay trailer had been released.

However, the online shop reveals more than just the possible release date. The shop page shows that the title should probably receive numerous DLCs. This news is accompanied by the announcement that a new trailer of Sonic Frontiers will be shown in Japanese cinemas before the film Sonic 2. This is now also haunting the web. More official material for a European audience will be available at this year’s Gamescom. After all, Sonic Frontiers has already been confirmed for the opening night of the fair.
anticipation and skepticism
In addition to the anticipation of a new 3D part of the popular blue hedgehog, there is also some skepticism. In our editorial team, there have already been equally critical voices when it comes to the quality of the supposed open-world sonic. It remains to be seen whether the title can convince in the end or whether Sega will launch another more or less popular Sonic title on the market.
