The team at Crate Entertainment has revealed their future plans for their new city-building game, Farthest Frontier. The gameplay should improve with many small changes.

The developers of the new city building game and Steam hit Farthes Frontier have released the first development update for the title. It’s still in the Early Access phase on Steam. The upcoming update 0.7.5 should bring many changes and improvements to the gameplay. We give a small overview.

Update 0.7.5 Highlights: Performance improvements

The developers at Crate Entertainment have their plans update 0.7.5 posted on their official website. First of all, it is important for the team to improve the current performance difficulties in various areas. These include the stutters and hangs when opening UI windows, showing overlays, fencing cows, and completing buildings. In addition, the developers have put a focus on the performance losses with a high population, as well as excessively long loading times.

Tutorials and Difficulty Level

The team has heard feedback that some players may find it difficult to get into the game. However, they explain that they want to introduce many more tutorials in future updates for precisely these players. Those who want it easy get a new card type with a particularly large number of resources. In fact, this will even become the new default map type when creating a new settlement.

More control over resources

In Update 0.7.5 the developers want to increase resources in mineral deposits. Quarrying and deep mining are also added to simplify the endgame. The team also wants to fix various limitations in resource management in future updates. For example, there is currently no method for transferring resources between memories. In addition, there is still no way to set quotas – i.e. a minimum number of resources within a camp. Fans will also be excited about the future ability to set production limits and enable or disable entire categories of resources in storage buildings. But these are just the highlights of Update 0.7.5. More details can be found on the official website.
