Sunday question: How many games do you have on your wish list? - News

teasers

The Pile of Shame aka Mountain of Joy is growing, but there are still a lot of new games that are also tempting. Without a list, it’s easy to lose track, right?

update with the result:

Most of the survey participants (just over a third) have a manageable wish list of one to five titles. This is followed by the slightly larger list builders with 10 to 30 games. After that it seems to be a fine line, because the third most common group is the long lists with over 100 entries. Close behind, on the other hand, are those who don’t believe in wish lists for games, while in the end the range from 50 to 100 games and 30 to 50 games comes to 9 and 8 percent respectively.

1-10 35%
10-30 21%
OVER ONE HUNDRED?!!! 15%
I don’t have a wish list 12%
50-100 9%
30-50 8th%

Some days the author of these lines reads the Internet again and briefly switches to a new tab to see gameplay for a new or previously unknown old game whose name he has just picked up. If everything goes well, the description and what you see don’t leave too much of an impression and the day goes on. If things go badly, the calendar opens and the name is noted there, the day continues and in the evening the calendar reminds you of that game title and it is transferred to a wish list or watch list before it falls victim to oblivion. That’s “bad” because said author’s wish list has gotten strangely large, hasn’t it?

Lists come in many forms. There are shops like Steam and GOG, there is the “Waiting for” function in your GamersGlobal profile, classic DIY lists with pen and paper or Word and and and. The question for you this Sunday is: How many games have you already collected on that wish list before the time is right or the next sale (or the one after that or the one after that) comes?

You can vote for the Sunday question until Monday at 09:00 – if you change your mind, you can still log in another answer until then. We will then close the survey and present you with the resulting opinion a little later in the form of a news update. Do you have ideas for a Sunday question? Then send a PM to Hagen. You can also post suggestions in the comments, which improves discoverability enormously if the word “suggestion” also appears in the comment.
