WoW: Bored until Dragonflight? What else can you do until then?
The Alpha of WoW: Dragonflight has been running for a few weeks and most of the players’ eyes are now directed towards the Dragon Islands. Shadowlands will probably run for a few more months, because the new expansion is unlikely to be released before November. Some players are therefore taking a well-deserved break, while others are considering how they can bridge the time in a meaningful way.
We have some suggestions for you on what you can do in the time leading up to Dragonflight. Because just in time for the release of the new expansion, some things will disappear from the game forever. Others remain, but are much harder to come by than they are now.
Defeat the Jailer!
Although the Ahead of the Curve achievement has already flown out of the game with the start of Season 4, there are two things that can still be achieved. What is meant are the two mounts that you can dust off from the jailer. These currently have a drop chance of 100 percent, which will definitely change with the launch of Dragonflight.
While the heroic mount goes directly to all players in the group, the mythical mount only drops for one player in the raid. But that’s still better than the drop chance to Shadowlands, which should be less than one percent.

While the mythical jailer is still a decent number, the heroic version should no longer pose a problem for most groups thanks to the countless nerfs and the massively increasing item level.
Defeat the mythical Sylvanas!
Sylvanas also has a mount to dust off, the drop chance of which will be massively reduced with the start of Dragonflight.
- At the mythical Sylvanas you get Revenge.
Unless you’re visiting the Sanctum of Domination in Fateful Mode, the bosses there are no longer a challenge. Most of the mechanics have lost their horror with the massively higher item level. But be careful: falling down while fighting Sylvanas or the Blacksmith is still deadly.

Become a Keystone Master!
The Mythic Plus dungeons have been made more difficult once you’ve gotten a decent item level, but they’re a lot easier than in previous seasons. This makes it easier to get the necessary ratings.
As with all season mounts, there will probably be no way to get this mount after that. While this is just a different color from the previous Mythic Plus mounts, it’s still the prettiest colorway.

And while you’re at it, towards the end of the season you should also aim to clear the level 20 dungeons within the time limit. With the maximum achievable equipment this is still crisp, but definitely manageable for most.
With this you unlock the dungeon ports and you can travel to the dungeon entrance from anywhere in the world at the push of a button. For some dungeons that are on other continents, for example, this can be quite practical.
Get the Gladiator Mount!
Towards the end of an expansion, many players will try PvP due to the lack of PvE challenges. Also there is something to loot what with WoW (buy now ): Dragonflight is irrevocably removed from the game: the Gladiator mount.

Reaching the elite rank is of course not easy. But since you still have some time until Dragonflight and there are currently many PvP newcomers on the road, it should be easier than usual. By the way, if you get a rating of 2,100, you get access to the Elite PvP set. This too will disappear with Dragonflight. So make sure you get the cool transmog before then.
Get the Shadowlands Feat!
As in every expansion, Shadowlands also has a feat that you can use to prove that you have mastered more or less all relevant content: Back from the afterlife.
To do this, you must have visited the raids, gotten a lot of successes in the different areas and dealt with the various events of the pacts. The following achievements are required:
The title then beckons as a reward shroud shifteras well as lots of achievement points that you collect along the way.

How are you spending the time leading up to the release of WoW: Dragonflight? Are you still in the current Fateful Raids, playing Mythic Plus dungeons diligently or have you already taken a break? You might even be spending your time in the Dragonflight Alpha if you’re one of the lucky ones who got access.
