Warzone: All information about server maintenance and updates on 22.08. in Call of Duty

What’s going on in Warzone? The Battle Royale prepares for Season 5 of Warzone. Therefore, Activision has to wait for the servers, because the last season before Modern Warfare 2 is about to start. For you players, this means (in the worst case) that you won’t be able to play Warzone for a while.

When can you play CoD? Even if the servers have been making trouble again and again in the last few hours, you can currently play Warzone normally (as of 11:30 a.m.).

If something changes in the server status, or if the server is even switched off for a new update, we will update the information here in the article. Thanks to our live updates, you are always up to date.

When are the Warzone servers down? The exact time cannot yet be determined. On August 24th you should expect a longer downtime. these are the most important times for Call of Duty Warzone:

  • Season 5 in Warzone starts on August 24, 2022 at 6 p.m
  • There will be a full server maintenance on August 24th – you probably won’t be able to play Warzone in the morning or afternoon
  • Season 5 is the last season before Modern Warfare 2 – this week ushering in the fall of Caldera in Warzone
  • Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28, 2022
  • According to rumors, Warzone 2 will be launched in November 2022

Is there a preload for Season 5? As a rule, Activision rolls out new updates in stages. In this way, the servers are not overloaded at once. The good thing for you guys is that there were always preloads. You can then sometimes download the new update the evening before – as on Tuesday, August 23rd. In Season 4, however, there was no preload.

With a so-called preload, you are already downloading the data for new content, but you cannot play it yet. You have to wait as normal until the servers come back online. But especially for players with slower internet there is more time to load all the data and start a new season on time.
