The First Descendant is a third person co-op shooter that not only appears for free, but also looks really good in the trailers. This is hardly surprising, however, since the game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5.
Even before gamescom opens tonight with Opening Night Live, a new trailer has been released that gives us a first glimpse of the upcoming game. In a press release, we also received more information about the looter shooter. In this article we will tell you exactly what to expect.

This is what awaits you in The First Descendant
The setting: The First Descendant takes you to a sci-fi fantasy world where you have to stop an alien invasion. As the story progresses you will become stronger and stronger in order to finally unravel the mystery of the mysterious Descendants.
4 player co-op: To face the threat in strategic battles, you form teams of four players. In order to survive the battles, you have to use the different skills of the individual team members.
Characters and Weapons: The playable heroes all come with different fighting styles. For example, Lepic has powerful guns built right into his arm, while Bunny has electric attacks and Aja is a tank with space warping abilities.
We can also equip our characters with three weapons and four other tools. We find new items by completing the missions and can upgrade both the character and weapon stats.

Boss fights: We shouldn’t miss varied boss fights in this shooter either. According to the press release, we are dealing with “huge boss monsters” who also all have different fighting styles. In battles, we use a grappling hook to tear off body parts and gain strategic advantages.
Platforms and Steam Beta
The game will be part of gamescom online and there is also a Steam Beta from October 20th to 26th planned. you can yourselves already sign up for the beta. This will have ten playable characters ready for you.
The game has a Free2Play model And it’s not just for the PC. It also appears for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
