The lineup for Amazon Prime Gaming in September has been announced. Also included: Assassin’s Creed Origins, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and 6 other exciting titles.
The timing couldn’t be better: just in time for the start of Amazon Prime’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series, which will be broadcast for the first time on the streaming service in just a few days, we’re being provided with the Game of the Year Edition of Mordor’s shadow.
Amazon Prime Gaming: The highlights of September
The mail-order giant has also teamed up with Ubisoft to bring more content to the publisher’s titles, including the upcoming Skull and Bones. In Assassin’s Creed Origins but it takes us first to ancient Egypt. In a huge open world, we are given a variety of different melee and ranged weapons to fight our way through an intense story in a dynamic combat system.
We level up our character, equip ourselves with new armor and upgrade our stats. Although the stealth aspects of the series are a bit shorter, Assassin’s Creed fans should be fully served in the many hours that the campaign spans.
With Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor we are already getting the second action RPG this month. And this has it all, after all, since its release in 2014, it has been awarded more than 50 times in different categories. The title was even voted Game of the Year at the DICE Awards and the Game Developers Choice Awards 2015.
Set in the fantasy world created by JRR Tolkien, we take on the role of Talion, a man who seeks revenge for his wife and son who were killed by Sauron’s henchmen. The combat system feels good intuitively, but the real focus is on the particularly cool Nemesis mode, which the game has excelled at. We encounter overly powerful opponents who promise us unique combat bonuses after a win, but who can also become our nemesis who remembers us very well should we fail.
