Diablo 2: Resurrected: Blizzard tests new terror zones for patch 2.5

Blizzard has opened a new public test server for the upcoming 2.5 patch for Diablo 2: Resurrected.

The developers are also testing a new, “experimental” feature for the action RPG: Terror Zones.

What are the Terror Zones?

Blizzard describes the Terror Zones as an optional new feature that should offer you a new path to level 99 during a season.

“Every hour the armies of the burning hells devote themselves to an area,” it says. “This will increase the level and power of all monsters in that area, encouraging players to hunt in the different areas of Sanctuary.”

The monsters in these Terror Zones move at least two levels above your current level and have a level cap depending on the selected difficulty. The experience points and the loot you get from them are based on this new level.

Apart from that, the patch promises further optimizations and bug fixes to improve the overall gaming experience.
