Flight Simulator: First city update with German cities is here

The first city update has now been released for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

On the occasion of the gamescom that is currently taking place, it deals with several German cities.

This is what the City update offers

Five German cities will be beautified thanks to the update using photogrammetry technology: Hanover, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Bonn and Cologne.

You can download the update for free from the game’s marketplace.

At the same time, new details about the upcoming 40th Anniversary Edition of Flight Simulator were announced. This will be released as a free update for all game owners and Game Pass users.

Among other things, helicopters and gliders are included, as well as an Airbus A-310 in which “almost every single button works as expected”.

Also included are the following seven historic aircraft:

  • 1903 Wright Flyer
  • 1915 Curtiss JN-4 Jenny
  • 1927 Ryan NYP Spirit of St Louis
  • 1935 Douglas DC-3
  • 1937 Grumman G-21 Goose
  • 1947 Havilland DHC-2 Beaver
  • 1947 Hughes H-4 Hercules

And you get the following:

  • Four classic commercial airports
  • Ten airports for gliders
  • Twelve new planes
  • 14 heliports
  • 20 classic missions from the past of the series.

The update is scheduled to appear on November 11th.
