Hearthstone: Battlegrounds Season 2 – All quests, heroes and new minions

Hearthstone will release Patch 24.2 on August 30th. This starts at the same time the 2nd Battlegrounds Season. Season 2 not only brings the battlefield path with itself, but also throws new heroes and minions onto the battlefield. However, a new batch of servants always means that some of them will say goodbye to the servant pool.

Bubbles, Silverback Patriarch, Foul Imp, Nathrezim Overseer, Soul Eater, Salty Smuggler, Shapeshifter Zerus, Cobalt Banescale, Witchwing Matron, Mythrax the Dissolver, and Secret Fin of the SI:7 have been removed from the minion pool. For that poison fin back to the servant selection.

  • Passive: Choose one of 2 quests at the start of the game.
  • Developer Comment: This is in addition to the quest that all players automatically receive. Count Denathrius can have two quests at once.

These two new heroes will be offered in every lobby for the first two weeks of the patch.

Hero Updates in Battlegrounds Season 2

Rakanishu (inn lighting)

• Old: [2 Gold] Give a friendly minion stats equal to your Tavern level. → New: [1 Gold] Gives a minion stats based on its Tavern level.
• Moved to Armor Tier 3:

patchwork (patched together)

• Old: Passive. Starts with 55 health instead of 40. → New: Passive. Starts with 60 health instead of 40.
• Moved to Armor Tier 2:

Vanndar Stormpike (leads the stormpikes)

• Reworked: Passive. Vengeance (2): Permanently grant your minions +1 Health.
• Moved to Armor Tier 1:

Drek’Thar (Lead the Frostwolves)

• Reworked: Passive. Vengeance (3): Gives your minions +1 Attack at all times.
• Moved to Armor Tier 2:

Aranna Starseeker (ghost vision)

• Bob’s Inn will now always refilled to 7 minions (e.g. after buying a minion).

Fungimancer Flrrgl (fishing trip)

• Reworked: Passive. Receive a random Murloc after selling 4 minions.
• Moved to Armor Tier 2:

Sky Captain Kragg (piggy bank)

• No change to the text, but the piggy bank can now store more than 10 gold.

Stormwing

• (Westfall) Old: Passive. Give your leftmost minion +2 Attack in a turn. → New: Passive. Give your leftmost minion +2/+1 in a turn.
• (Eastern Plaguelands) Old: Passive. In 5 turns your next inn level costs (5) less. → New: Passive. In 5 turns your next inn level (6) costs less.
