With the upcoming WoW expansion Dragonflight, the Blizzard developers want to go more in the direction of the long-forgotten motto “Bring the player, not the class” and distribute various important skills to several classes. Here’s another class gaining access to the “Battlerezz” in the upcoming alpha build!
In WoW there are various buffs and useful skills that the different classes and styles of play can use to strengthen their group. Some of these are stronger, some less important. For example, no raid would want without that Chaotic stigma go off the demon hunter, or go without Arcane Intelligence of the magician. In addition, at least one class should be at the start, the heroism / battle frenzy can work. In Mythic Plus dungeons, on the other hand, revivals in battle are particularly important – the so-called “Battlerezzes”.
So far only death knights, warlocks and druids can do this. But with a bit of luck, engineers can also revive in battle – in Dragonflight, the items even work without you being Ingi yourself. Apparently that’s not enough for the developers. That’s why they’re giving another class a Battlerezz in one of the upcoming alpha updates. At least that’s what Game Director Ion Hazzikostas revealed in an interview with Liquid Guild Leader Maximum.
New Battlerezz class – “likely Paladins”
Which class from Dragonflight can shine with a revival in combat does not seem to be 100 percent certain. However, it seems very likely that the Paladin will be expanded to include this new ability. At least that’s how Hazzikosta’s statement in the interview can be interpreted. Even if he later pushed that he shouldn’t be nailed down to it, things should turn out differently.
After the auras and many useful effects, which are only good in a situation, the paladin gets another argument for the spot in the raid or the mythical plus group. With the change that all players in Dragonflight can revive in battle with an Ingi item, the argument is at least partially invalidated at the same time.
Which class would you have given the battlerezz to? Maybe more of a priest or the shaman? And do we even need another class with the ability to revive fellow players in battle? In the eyes of many players, the three previous classes would have been enough.
