TRAINEE OR EDITOR (M/F/D)

Since 2009, www.GamersGlobal.de has been offering games coverage for the discerning. Our community discusses neatly instead of yelling at each other. We see computer and video games as a cultural asset that can also simply be fun. We present games in the form of texts, podcasts and videos in a way that is opinionated, independent and entertaining. From October 1st, 2022 we are looking for reinforcements.

as trainee (and after one to two years as an editor) or editor you will take on responsibility in our small team right from the start and contribute your ideas. You play, you write, you cut, you represent us at company visits and trade fairs at home and abroad. You are in our office two days a week, the rest of the time you are welcome to work in your home office – we will provide the (editing) hardware you need for home.

Your personality and your enthusiasm for the topic are more important to us than degrees or professional experience, but of course a degree shows us that you have achieved the goals you have set yourself. It would be helpful if you have previous experience in one or more areas of your future work (e.g. video editing or blogging).

Your tasks:

• You test new games – you praise exciting ones, you throw away bad ones
• You write polished short and long texts (previews, tests, columns)
• You quickly turn current events into news
• You participate in podcasts
• You are in front of and behind the camera
• You edit the contributions of our external authors
• You cut video and audio formats
• You communicate with our community at eye level

• Industry-standard, experience-based payment (from 1,800 euros for a trainee position)
• Permanent position – we would like to plan permanently with you
• Trainee: In one to two years you will develop into an editor with us

• Flexible division between home office and office (you should be with us in Putzbrunn two days a week on average)
• A wide, varied range of tasks
• We work on Macs and play on current consoles and PCs

Your profile:

• You are interested in video/PC games across genres, you are an expert in one genre
• You enjoy formulating, whether for articles or moderations
• You are inquisitive
• Prior knowledge in one or more of the following areas: blogging, vlogging, video editing, audio editing, moderating, editing texts, writing articles, SEO
• Knowledge of Final Cut Pro X, Audacity, Photoshop or similar programs would be ideal
• You are a character – whether ex- or introverted!
