The Steam Deck will not be the last of its kind: Valve is planning further versions

A brochure from Valve appears to confirm plans for upcoming Steam deck releases. After the huge success of the handheld PC, that’s no big surprise either, even though Valve is still busy fulfilling all pre-orders.

In which booklet, which Valve presents on its website, lists the successor versions for Valve’s Steam Deck. “Steam Deck is the first in a new category of Steam handheld gaming PCs,” it says. “In the future, Valve will continue to follow this product with improvements and iterations in hardware and software, and release new versions of the Steam Deck.”

More Steam Deck news:

Valve also refers to the Steam Deck as a “multi-generational product line” in its brochure and claims that the company will support “Steam Deck and SteamOS” for the foreseeable future. Valve does not want to stop supporting the handy device after just a few years.
