CD Projekt have just announced a new episode of Night City Wire. You remember: In the VOD episodes, new features were always revealed in 2020 around the release of the action RPG. The new episode will now be dedicated entirely to the upcoming anime Cyberpunk Edgerunners and the future of Cyberpunk 2077.

When is the stream? Tuesday, September 6 at 5 p.m. German time. You can watch the 23-minute episode either on Twitter or YouTube pursue.

This is what Edgerunners is all about: The anime tells a story detached from the game with new characters. The hero is “Street Kid” David, who wants to become a lawless mercenary – an edge runner. Together with a crew of other Edgerunners, he not only takes on criminals, but also has to deal with one of the most powerful mega-corporations in the world.

The series relies on stylish animations that are not stingy with blood and brutality. The production is created by the Japanese animation studio Studio Trigger, which is known for Promare and Kill la Kill, among other things. Next Tuesday we will get more information before the start on Netflix.

Cyberpunk 1.6 release probably coming soon

As promised, CD Projekt Cyberpunk 2077 will continue to provide additional content after the release. Most recently, in February, patch 1.5 was the next-gen upgrade for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, which not only brought technical improvements, but also significantly lowered the loot, brought new weapons into play and apartment activities introduced.
